feelings vs reality?

Most of the time, we have been poisoned by the word 'feelings'.Whenever there is a time we need to make a choice, there will be a voice saying that: "follow your heart/feelings" This lead to another question: what is your true feeling?
Have you ever think of this: what we felt might be what we chosen to feel. In other word, this means our cognitive brain dictates what our body want to feel. Eventually, it just blurred the line between emotional intelligence and cognitive intelligence. So when you talked about sixth sense, it actually evolved from our life experience and knowledge, just that you face the same situations for so many times until you become so 'intuitive' to know what you should do in the next step. This is what commonly called 'sixth sense' or 'feelings'. For example, when you did bad in your exam, your experience/culture/knowledge told you crying will sooth the pain. this lead you to cry whenever you face problem and you think this is your feelings without questioning much. Until one day when you stop crying and you feel there is nothing wrong with not crying, you started to question: maybe I was not even feeling want to cry whenever there is difficulty. Hence, you started to modify your so called 'feelings'.
So probably when you are facing a choices/dilemma, there is nothing wrong to decide using your rationale instead of 'feelings'. No doubt following your feeling will cause you to continue to stay in your comfort zone and lead to inner satisfaction.
